Facebook June 16 2010:
Last night I listened to Obama's address and
some of the inane CNN chatter which followed. I wondered how long it would
take for the talking heads to get to the "we have to change direction
regarding energy" bit. It took a while and when it was finally mentioned it
was finished it off with these words, "not the right time". I've given this
some thought and you know what? Those who say it's not the right time are
right. The right time for the US and the rest of us to move to alternative
forms of energy has long past. Man it'd be nice to hear some truth come out
of all this.

After
taking more shots at Obama (deserved or not) in the first segment, last
night Jon Stewart echoed what I mentioned here in the second segment of The
Daily Show. I guess it goes back eight Presidents, all the way back to Nixon,

ebb and flow. Lately my hope in humanity's sanity has seen better days
and we'll see what the future brings. I can only hope...
