"Samsara" Definition:  n. 1. Hinduism, the endless cycle of birth, death and rebirth.   2. Buddhism, the transmigration or rebirth of a person.  2. Buddhism, the transmigration or rebirth of a person.  [Sanskrit, literally: a passing through, from sam altogether + sarati it runs]

Samsara was completed shortly following the birth of our daughter Samsara Cheyenne Boots, on October 21, 2000.  Our midwife was a staunch advocate for breastfeeding and a print from this graphite pencil drawing now hangs in the midwives office. For anyone considering making a baby, I highly recommend the midwife natural method, and if possible, make it a homebirth. Giving birth is not a sickness and as far as I'm concerned should not be treated as such. If you live in the Peterborough Ontario area here is a link to midwife's website: www.kawarthacommunitymidwives.com  Stefanie pictured here in the process of feeding our child, wholeheartedly concurs with this sentiment.

Samsara, our daughter's name, came through having read the Herman Hesse novel Siddhartha the story of Buddha.
