"Shades of Light" was the first of two new pencil drawings created over the
past couple of months. Increasingly I have been experimenting with the
effects of dramatic lighting on a subject. And as with my latest
drawing, "Last Glance", the the
beauty of the female form is what I chose to cast my light upon.
The title "Shades of Light" is a play on words, for it is shadows which have
shades but in actuality, light is what makes it all possible.
